Quick Chicken puffs

I tried making one of the best savory treats that is Chicken puffs. At first I was a bit afraid about how they would turn out to be. But this is how they looked 😀

You would need


  • Ready made puff pastry (Got mine from Carrefour frozen section)
  • Boiled chicken breast 250 grams
  • One medium onion
  • Green chilies 4 or 5
  • All purpose flour 2 tsp
  • Butter 4 tsp
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Egg 1 for egg wash (beat it with sprinkle of water)


Add butter to heated pan. Saute onions in butter until translucent. Now add  shredded chicken, all purpose flour and simmer. Add milk to make a thick paste. Add salt and pepper and green chilies according to you taste. This is what mixture should look like. (sorry for the stupid picture :P)


Now take two pastry squares or circles (shape as you like) put one at bottom, chicken mixture at center, Close it with second puff pastry sheet. Brush with egg wash.

Bake it at 180C in oven for 20 minutes or until golden.

Voila! your easy peasy tea snack is ready. You can also foil wrap refrigerate them for up to week for your guests or yourself if you have midnight hunger attacks. Just put them in microwave for 30 seconds before eating :D.
